What is World Trade Online's NewsStand?

World Trade Online's NewsStand is a pay-per-view news service that allows anyone with a credit card and Internet access to purchase documents and articles. News articles are text files only. Documents may be text files as well as Adobe Acrobat (PDF) and Microsoft PowerPoint (PPT) files.

Note: To view the PDF documents, you will need an Adobe Acrobat Reader which can be downloaded free from the Adobe website. To view the PowerPoint files, you will need a PowerPoint viewer which can be downloaded free from the Microsoft website.

What is the source of NewsStand content?

The content comprises articles and documents from the Inside U.S. Trade family of international trade products, specializing in exclusive news reporting for trade policy professionals around the world.

The underlying products include two weekly newsletters (Inside U.S. Trade and Inside US-China Trade) and two online news services (World Trade Online and China Trade Extra). The products are widely regarded as essential sources for trade news from the U.S. and around the world. Inside U.S. Trade has been serving the international trade community with timely, relevant news for over two decades.

What do articles and documents cost?

Individual articles and documents cost $5.00 each. The number of words identifies the length of each article for sale. Each document available through the NewsStand is clearly described so you'll know what you are buying.

What do I do after purchasing an article or document?

You can print the news and information you've purchased, or save it on your computer.

How long will I have access to the material I purchase?

You will have online access to purchased articles and documents for 24 hours. We suggest however that you save or print purchased articles and documents to insure continued access.

Am I allowed to reproduce or redistribute purchased

No. NewsStand terms and conditions prohibit the reproduction or electronic redistribution of the content available on the site. A single copy of information displayed on the Site may be downloaded and viewed and/or printed solely by permitted users for non-commercial personal use only, provided all copyright and other proprietary notices contained on the materials are retained. What do I do if I lose or forget my password?

Go to the NewsStand log-in page and click on the "Forgot Password" link. You'll then be asked to submit your user name. Once that's done, you'll quickly receive an e-mail with directions on how to recover your password.

How can I view what I've charged to my account?

When you make purchases, you'll receive an e-mail at the end of that day confirming what you've bought. You also can view your "transaction history" by visiting our online account center. And you will be notified by e-mail whenever your credit-card account is being charged for purchases.
