TTIP Will Not Change Energy Laws, But Liberalization Is Already Underway
A senior U.S. trade official last month offered
assurances that the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) will
not alter U.S. energy legislation, but belying that statement is the fact that
there is already enormous pressure to liberalize U.S. energy trade policy
within the scope of current law independent of the trade deal.
