U.S. cotton, pistachio, wine and milk industry representatives objected to Indian barriers to agricultural trade at an April 21 hearing of the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC). The hearing is one step in the ITC's creation of a report on the effects of tariffs and non-tariff measures on U.S. agricultural exports to India, as requested in January by the Senate Finance Committee.
