Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) urged President Barack Obama in a Sept. 18 letter to speak to Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama and South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak at the G20 summit this week about the fact that their countries have instituted "Cash for Clunkers" programs that essentially limit rebates to purchases of their domestically produced cars.
