While Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has said he will do everything in his power to ensure that the White House moves forward all three pending trade deals together, he will not vote against the U.S.-Korea free trade agreement if the White House were to ignore his calls and send up the U.S.-Korea FTA alone.

U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk today (March 7) sent a letter to House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp (R-MI) stating that USTR has concluded its preparatory work on the U.S.-Korea free trade agreement and is ready to start discussions on the draft FTA implementing bill and the draft Statement of Administrative Action (SAA).
